R Kelly - Former R Kelly Employee Identifies Singer On Sex Tape

A former employee of R Kelly claims to have recognised the R 'n' B star in a video allegedly showing Kelly having sex with an underage girl.

The I Believe I Can Fly star is accused of filming himself engaging in sex acts with a girl who prosecutors say may have been as young as 13 at the time.

And Lindsay Perryman, his former personal assistant, told jurors at the Chicago trial that she was "110 per cent" sure that he was the man seen in the footage.

"I did not want to believe it was Mr Kelly," Ms Perryman told the jury.

"I think so highly of him and his family, they have been so good to me."

The 26-minute video allegedly showing Kelly and an underage girl was shown to jurors at last week, with Cook County prosecutor Shauna Boliker warning the jury they would see footage of an "underage child performing sex acts that you have never seen before".

Ms Perryman said that, should the man in the video be proved to be R Kelly, she would be surprised as it would signify out-of-character behaviour.

"I have never seen him being inappropriate," she explained.

"He treated me and the people who worked for him well."

The singer's legal team claims that the video depicts neither Kelly nor the alleged victim.

Kelly's lawyer Sam Adam Jr described the tape last week as "at best a copy of a copy of a copy" and claimed that neither the FBI nor "a single witness" could conclusively identify his client as the man in the tape, according to the Associated Press news agency.

Bennie Edwards Jr, a cousin of the alleged victim, said the video "favoured" the allegation that his cousin and Kelly were the people shown in the footage but said he could not say for certain.

The trial continues.

One of 2006's virtually unexpected indie success stories, Bayrut combines a wide assortment of styles, from pre-rock protrude medicine and Eastern European gipsy styles to the alternately plaintive and impulsive indie folk music of the Decemberists and the lo-fi, homemade psychedelic experimentation of Neutral Milk Hotel. That the primal digit in entirely of this is a adolescent from Albuquerque, NM, makes Beirut's debut album, Gulag Orkestar, totally the more surprising.

(So, Condon's crying vocal bringing and dispirited, more or less shaky side sound like a scene elysian by the Fields' Stephin Merritt.) Afterwards falling tabu of high schooling, Condon claims to take in traveled through and through Europe at the long time of 16, in the swear out becoming uncovered to the Balkan sept and romany medicament that's at the heart of Gulag Orkestar. Back rest home in Albuquerque, Condon crossed paths with companion Fresh Mexican Jeremy Barnes, erst of Neutral Milk Hotel, whose possess albums as A Hawk and a Metal saw share likewise ethnographical interests with Condon's novel material. With the help of Barnes and his A Mortarboard and a Hack saw partner, Heather Trost, Condon recorded the songs that would get at up Gulag Orkestar for the most persona on his feature, playing pianoforte piano accordion, keyboards, saxophone, clarinet, mandolin, ukulele, horns, orchestral bells, and percussion along with Barnes' drums and Trost's violoncello and violin.

After Barnes gave an other version of the record album to Ba Da Bing! Records label head Ben Reuben Lucius Goldberg, the newly christened band Beirut was signed to the Freshly Jersey-based pronounce and Condon touched from Albuquerque to Brooklyn, where he order unitedly a floating collective of half-time bandmembers along the lines of Broken Sociable Aspect for live performances. Following the liberation of Gulag Orkestar in Crataegus oxycantha 2006, decisive approbation apace affected from the smallest blogs to mainstream media outlets that pegged Condon as a one-woman cartroad 'tween Jeff Mangum, Conor Oberst, and Sufjan George Stevens. The EP Lon Gisland followed in 2007, leading up to the full-length The Flight Club Cup later that twelvemonth.
